本电站按“无人值班（少人）值守”的原则进行自动化技术改造，经自动化技术改造后，应能实现“无人值班（少人）值守”的总体原则设计，电站采用全计算机监控系统控制，当流域梯级水电站集控中心建成后，由流域梯级电站集控中心完成对本电站的集中监控运行。
经济型冗余方案

云南泸水县新源计堵河发电有限责任公司计堵河二级水电站位于云南省怒江傈僳族自治州泸水县秤杆乡计堵河下游河段上，电站厂区枢纽距秤杆乡约3km，距怒江州州政府所在地六库镇42km，工程区位于怒江左岸。该电站为引水式开发，引用流量6.0m/s，设计水头254.30m，保证出力4.33MW，年发电量6603.7万KW?h，年利用小时为5241h。
