为了使隧道窑更好的服务于生产，生产过程中的自动控制水平极其重要。
陶瓷隧道窑炉生产线有：轻体燃气节能隧道窑、辊道窑、双窑道燃气节能窑等形式。适用于蜂窝陶瓷、日用陶瓷、工业陶瓷、卫生建筑陶瓷、电子陶瓷、化工原料、陶瓷色料以及其它硅酸盐制品的烧成。特点是自动化程度高，窑内温度均匀，调节范围宽，能耗低，烧成质量高，操作简单，维修方便。轻体隧道窑烧成温度≤1650℃，窑长20至120米。
其中有些环节粉尘、油渍、蒸汽较多。恶劣的工作环境将对电气控制系统产生不利的影响，因此要求电气控制系统有良好的性能以及很强的抗干扰性。
根据实际要求系统采用PLC控制方案，PLC系统有着很强的抗干扰能力和运算能力，并且可靠性高，易于实现复杂控制，所以选择PLC作为隧道窑温度的控制核心是十分合适的。
控制方案:
本系统采用西门子S7-300系列CPU OYES-300系列IO模块 OYES-300系列IM153模块。通过Profibus网络实现主站和从站之间的通讯；中央控制室上位机与现场主机之间通过MPI网络通讯，对生产过程中的温度、传送速度、加热工艺等参数进行实时监控。
