The MPS45A model provides high operational stability due to its maintenance free operation and high efficiency. This module is part of the MSC product series and is commonly used in various motion control systems. The MPS DC power module consists of a power board, wiring terminals, control board, heat sink, IGBT, and two heat dissipation fans. Several electrolytic capacitor and insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) are placed in the model. This device is a regenerative power supply device widely used to power connected MIV devices. The power module uses a converter link to share data and develop communication and MIV modules between MPS modules. The MIV module that operates with the spindle motor is allowed to be used with the MPS power module. The MPS45A device comes with two cooling fans that operate on a 24 VDC power supply to help control the overall temperature of the system. The MPS module does not have waterproof spray protection. That's why it should be installed in a secure environment. The MPS045A power supply unit should be used according to the conditions mentioned in the MPS user manual.
The MPS45A model is one of the most energy-efficient power modules manufactured by Okuma. The power supply is equipped with multiple indicator lights, such as a 7-segment LED for displaying errors, a DC bus indicator for displaying the charging status of the DC bus, and a 24V power supply error indicator. The allowable working temperature range specified in the MPS manual is 0 to+40 degrees Celsius. The device can operate at full efficiency at the highest altitude of 1000 meters above sea level.
