The MPS20 model is a regenerative power supply module developed by Okuma. This module is widely used in various industrial applications that use spindle motors. The MPS DC power module uses a three-phase power supply and converts it into a 24-300 VDC power supply, which is further provided to the connected MIV modules. An MPS power supply unit can operate multiple MIV modules. For effective communication, the power module uses a converter link. The single machine capacity of this model MPS20 is 20 kW. The total weight of this module is 11.8 kilograms, excluding the net weight of accessories. Only spare parts and modules approved by the company are allowed to be used together with the supplied module. The MPS DC power module adopts a compact design with an overall size of 380 × one hundred and fifty × 325 (high × wide × Deep). The MPS20 device should be carefully operated by qualified electrical professionals. This module is equipped with multiple indicators, including 7 LED segments, DC bus charging status, and power error indicators.
The MPS20 model is part of the MSC series of products, which provides DC power through its L - and L+terminals. In order to perform control operations, the control board is also placed in this module. The MPS20 device must operate under the allowable operating conditions specified by the supplier. A cooling fan is installed in this model to control the ambient temperature of the casing. The power supply unit can also operate under humid conditions.
