When activating the Redundant IP address, the ETM sends a burst of three ARP requests at 20 ms intervals. After the specified interval has passed, the ETM tries again, repeating the cycle of three ARP requests. The ETM repeats the request cycle after each SRP response; however, the delay interval after a response is received doubles each cycle, to a maximum of 2.0 seconds.
