Configuring Ethernet Global Data without Using the EGD Configuration Server If the EGD Configuration Server is not used, each Ethernet Global Data exchange must be configured in both the producer and the consumer. To add exchanges, expand the Ethernet Global Data node in the Project tab. Right-click the Consumed Exchanges or the Produced Exchanges node and choose New. The new exchange appears under the selected list node. 1. For each Consumed and Produced Exchange, configure the parameters described here. 2. To specify the variable ranges for each exchange, right-click the exchange and choose Configure Ranges. The EGD Variable Range Editor window opens. 4.2.4.3.1 Configuring an Ethernet Global Data Exchange for a Producer The information to be sent by the producer and the exchange details are defined in the Properties for each Produced exchange (also called a “page”).
